Did you know the that the Zaan area has been the biggest Cacao processing area of the past centuries? You will sail past some of the biggest ‘Chocolate factories’ in the world, that proces the majority of the worlds Cacao. If the wind is in the right direction, your tour will be accompanied by the smell of chocolate. And if you are even more lucky, you will see the ‘Chocolate Boats’, that transport the Cacao between the factories!
